Quotes from Considerate Constructors Site Audit Reports in 2006 and 2007
"The nature of this work is such that it has the considerable potential to cause disruption and inconvenience to the public, and the complaint free record to date reflects very well on the way the project is being managed. Safety and environmental issues are very strongly promoted throughout the site accommodation & on site as well as in the compound, a very favourable image is being created."
"The signage and traffic control for five intersections including four dual carriageways is expertly planned and executed."
"A well run site with careful detail being taken to recycle wherever possible, protect the environment and maintain good relations with the local public."
"The site manager is running the site in a way that minimises the effect on the public and the environment. A pro-active attitude has been adopted to environmental items that have the propensity to hinder or annoy the public."
"Every effort is being made to minimise the effect on the neighbours whilst still maintaining the foreshortened Contract period."
With Regard to our Work in Highways Agency Area 9 CMF Bromford Viaduct
Ivan Beavis, the Highways Agency Area Performance Manager recently wrote a letter of praise to those involved with the above scheme.
Within this letter he expressed his "appreciation of the magnificent achievement in delivering the project over the summer and autumn."
He went on to record the teams commitment to keep traffic delays to a minimum and how the learning from the 2004 phase had been utilised. He praised the communications exercise that ensured that the customer, (the travelling public) was kept informed and went on to record that "the energy, enthusiasm and efforts made" were responsible for the programme being delivered on time and with minimal disruption to the M6 and that very few complaints had been received, indeed positive feedback had been received from both Birmingham City Council and Retail Birmingham.
