Name: Les Matthews
Role:   Construction Director

Experience:With a BSc in Civil Engineering, Les joined Dew Construction in 1986 as a Site Agent, looking after major water and rail projects. Thereafter he became Contracts Manager (Water and Rail), then Divisional Manager of the Civil Engineering Division, responsible for training, tender appraisal, Health & Safety and overall performance. From 2004 to 2006, Les was Associate Director, in charge of General Civil Engineering, Frameworks and Structural Repair - and in June 2006, he was appointed Construction Director, responsible for a broad portfolio of activities within the company.

Name: Jon Hible
Role:   Commercial Director

Experience:Jon has a BSc in both Quantity Surveying and Construction Management, and prior to joining Dew Construction, he undertook Quantity Surveyor roles at both Birse Construction and Tilbury Douglas Construction. Then, having been a Commercial Manager for the Process Engineering Division of Christiani and Nielsen, he occupied the same role for Balfour Beatty Capital Projects. Gaining valuable experience in the Americas, he worked as Contract Administration Manager for the Siemens Westinghouse Power Corporation, focusing on power plant construction in the USA and South America. Jon joined Dew Construction in 2002 as Divisional Quantity Surveyor, and in 2006 he took up his current role as Commercial Director, responsible for the commercial, contractual and financial operations of the company's Civil Engineering Division.

Name: John Hensman
Role:   Development Director

Experience: John joined Dew parent DCT Civil Engineering in 2003 as the company's Business Development Manager, after thirteen years in a client-led environment working for Severn Trent Water and Haswell Consulting Engineers. Bringing invaluable client-side knowledge, John has worked hard to raise DCT's profile within the broad spectrum of the civil engineering sector, helping to reinforce the company's growing reputation for quality and service. In November 2006, John was appointed to Dew Construction's Board of Directors, a position that saw him overseeing business development for both Dew and DCT. In July 2007 John became a main Board Director for DCT.

Name: Paul O'Neill
Role:   Contracts Manager

Experience:Having been with Dew Construction since 1984, Paul is a very experienced and knowledgeable Contracts Manager. Paul has extensive experience in partnering and framework contracts, including early contractor involvement on a wide variety of highways structures projects. Paul's Contracts Management experience on Highways Agency projects embraces major structures refurbishment, bridge bearing replacement and deck repair, drainage improvements and verge works. Paul has also supervised a number of canal and landfill reclamation projects. As a nationally recognised authority on the reconstruction of retaining walls, Paul sits with consultants, professionals and academics on a CIRIA Project Steering Group for retaining wall best practice.

Name: Howard Burrow
Role:   Contracts Manager

Experience:Howard has a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering and joined Dew Construction in 1987. His first appointment with the company was as Site Agent for a number of major water projects in the UK and abroad, and he quickly progressed to become a manager of major water and rail infrastructure and highways projects. Howard had a pivotal role in Dew Construction's highly successful BW Omnibus Framework Contract. This £20 million refurbishment and renewal project for British Water involved the management of no less than 120 separate operations between 2002 and 2006 throughout the North West, the Border Counties and the Midlands. Howard also managed the ICE and BURA award-winning Pontcysyllte Aqueduct refurbishment project.

Name: Piers Myatt
Role:   Contracts Manager

Experience: Piers commenced his career with Associated Asphalt, where he enjoyed rapid promotion from his initial role as engineer to Projects Manager and Operations Manager. Piers joined Dew Construction Ltd in 2003 as Contracts Manager, managing construction projects in accordance with Health & Safety policy and QA procedures. Piers provides support for tender settlement, contract and subcontractor account negotiations- and, based at Dew's Coventry office, he covers the company's operations in the Midlands region and is extensively involved in the Coventry Framework where he manages transportation improvement and urban infrastructure projects.
